From June 17–20, 2025, the HEQUITY project partners gathered in beautiful Padua, Italy, for an inspiring study visit under Erasmus+ KA220-HED. Hosted by Popoli Insieme with help of University of Padova, the visit brought together voices from partners from Belgium, Italy, Latvia and Türkiye to explore innovative ways of supporting refugee and international students in higher education.

It was four days full of inspiring moments such as the meeting with the University of Padua (International Relations Division), with the students we support through the Arrupe Project, the meeting with the Collegio Mazza and the discussion between the partners. We also planned the next steps of the project, including a research article and next projct meetings.

This visit, which coincided with Refugee Week, strengthened our commitment to more equitable and accessible education.

The HEQUITY (“Building Higher Education Quality InclUsIon PaThwaYs”) project, led by Ecepaa, aims to strengthen Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) policies in European higher education institutions, with a special focus on migrant students.
