DIAMOND
Supporting Employment Transitions Through Skills Development
Project update | October 2024
A Strong Start for a Transformative Project!
In October 2024, the DIAMOND Project officially launched with an energizing two-day kick-off meeting in Milan, bringing together experts from all 15 partner organizations — including our team from ECEPAA, who were there in person to mark the beginning of this exciting journey.
What Happened in Milan?
The meeting set a solid foundation for the entire consortium. Partners aligned on the project’s goals, objectives, and work packages, with in-depth discussions on some of DIAMOND’s core elements: personalized learning pathways, the EGROW Index, the MOVEE Platform, and the Grassroot Living Lab — where innovative solutions will be tested in real-world environments to drive meaningful social impact.
A special contribution came from Project Officer Carolina Ibáñez Vila and Financial Officer Barbara Scioni, who joined online to share valuable insights on the effective management of EU-funded projects.
The second day focused on workshops around social innovation, the DIAMOND Living Lab, and Dissemination, Exploitation and Communication (DEC) activities. It was also the moment when the DIAMOND visual identity and logo were officially unveiled — an important milestone in building the project’s public presence.
ECEPAA’s Takeaways
Beyond the working sessions, the meeting was a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships across the consortium and build the trust that underpins effective collaboration. For ECEPAA, being present in Milan reinforced our commitment to contributing our expertise in migration policy, lifelong learning, and social inclusion to a project that puts people at the center.
We left Milan with clear next steps, shared timelines, and a strong sense of collective purpose. The DIAMOND journey has officially begun — and we’re part of it.
