DIAMOND
Supporting Employment Transitions Through Skills Development
Project update | Meeting in Berlin | December 2025
A Productive Two Days of Collaboration!
Earlier this month, the DIAMOND consortium gathered in Berlin for two intensive days of collaboration, planning, and project alignment — and our team from ECEPAA was there in person, engaged and ready to contribute.
Moving the Project Forward
The first day opened with a warm welcome from the lead partner, Aarhus University, and immediately got into the heart of the work. Partners reviewed the upcoming reporting period, key deadlines, and overall project alignment, ensuring the entire consortium is moving in the same direction.
Discussions covered several critical areas that are shaping DIAMOND’s progress. On the methodology and scientific framework, partners refined the structure of the project’s evidence-based approaches and shared templates for integrating research insights across teams. Updates on communication and outreach ensured that DIAMOND’s messaging remains clear and consistent across Europe, while a dedicated session on research progress brought together the latest findings on empowerment, transformative capabilities, and learner profiles — the knowledge foundation that drives the entire project.
Two other sessions stood out: an update on the DIAMOND digital platform, with a clear roadmap of integration points and upcoming milestones, and a comprehensive review of the Living Lab and social innovation experiments, mapping the next steps toward community-driven experimentation across European regions.
Turning Ideas into Action
The second day opened with a focused workshop entirely dedicated to the Living Labs. Partners worked together to define concrete goals for the experimentation phase and began mapping the first activities that will take place across several European regions. It was a key moment in translating the Living Lab concept from vision into practical pathways that can support local learning, participation, and innovation.
The day also included a short interactive session that gave partners the chance to connect more informally, share experiences, and learn more about each other’s roles — a reminder that behind every project are people, relationships, and a shared commitment to making a difference.
ECEPAA’s Reflection
For our team, Berlin was another important milestone in this collaborative journey. Being present at the table — contributing to discussions on methodology, policy, and social innovation — reinforces our commitment to bringing our expertise in migration, lifelong learning, and social inclusion to a project that is already taking concrete shape across Europe.
The DIAMOND project is advancing steadily, and we look forward to sharing more updates as the Living Lab experiments begin to unfold.
