On January 27, 2026, ECEPAA hosted a meeting as part of the Cities4Youth project “Resilient Cities and Sustainable Future,” bringing together an enthusiastic group of young participants committed to shaping the future of urban development.

The event provided a valuable platform for youth to engage with the core themes of the project: urban sustainability, resilient cities, and the crucial role of young people in decision-making processes. Through dynamic presentations and interactive discussions, participants explored innovative approaches to urban planning, sustainable living practices, and environmentally friendly solutions that can be implemented in their communities.

The Cities4Youth project, funded by Erasmus+ and led by the Governorship of Sakarya in partnership with organizations across Europe, represents a unique opportunity for young people to have their voices heard by local governments and decision-makers. The project’s mission is to increase youth capacity in urban sustainability, establish meaningful dialogue mechanisms between youth and local authorities, and encourage active participation in shaping policies that will define the cities of tomorrow.

During the meeting, participants shared insights, exchanged best practices, and discussed concrete proposals for creating more sustainable and resilient urban environments. The energy and commitment demonstrated by the young participants reaffirmed the importance of youth engagement in addressing the environmental and urban challenges of our time.

ECEPAA is happy to be part of this transformative initiative and remains committed to empowering young people to become active agents of change in their communities, contributing to the development of sustainable, inclusive, and resilient cities for future generations.
